He announces the host of “Trivial Pursuit - America Plays”, “5th Grader” going into syndication, and the debut of “GUTS” on Nickelodeon. We then move into the news that Nigel Lythgoe is taking a break from “American Idol”, a trio of TPIR news items and the Random Newsbits.

Jason is worried about the Earthquake. So he starts this week with the earth shaking news of a $30,000 Price is Right taping mistake…and how it wasn’t as big as people made it out to be.
What is big is the status of Countdown…based on the fact that the hostess of 26 years has left. Also big was another BBC Game Show fine.
We end the week with some Bob Barker News, the status of Big Brother around the world…and the Random Newsbits.

Jason saw “The Dark Knight” and it was no joke. But he deals with the funny and unfunny of the week. He reviews “Catch-21″, “Reality Bites Back” which was funny…and “The Gong Show” which wasn’t.
He then deals with Charles Van Doren, his New Yorker article and why Jason thinks he should have stayed out of the public eye. He then gives all poker fans some real good news about World Poker Tour and High Stakes Poker.
We then switch to Fremantle…and an interview with Drew Carey and how he was told about the Dobkowitz firing along with Fremantle’s response to the WGAW “Truth Tour.”
Jason’s crystal ball deals with Bravo and Sci Fi, and “Deal or No Deal”. He finishes with an Omarosa catfight, the producers of the Mole trying to save the show, and the Random Newsbits.

We are having a heat wave here at the Block Party. We talk about another trip to Atlantic City for Jason and the gang and a new live casino game show. The WGA wants to unionize reality and game show writers(again!) and is stalking American Idol.
Tila Tequila doesn’t think Kristy is a stalker, but she called her a fake. What isn’t fake is the war between Adrienne Curry, Christopher Knight and Florence Henderson(!).
Jason talks “From G’s to Gents.”, some American Idol news, an interactive update from E3, ABC Premiere Dates, and the war between Wipeout and MXC from Spike.
He finishes up with a big statement on the UK Game Show Scandal from Noel Edmonds, a new home for “The Contender” and the Random Newsbits.

Jason reacts to the shock firing/release of Roger Dobkowitz of the Price is Right. He tells you what happened, what it means and how the fans need to calm down. He confirms the Million Dollar Wedge on Wheel of Fortune this fall, and how the AFTRA ratification of their contract means that the ball is in SAG’s court now.
He previews “Catch-21″, (which a certain podcaster can now say he taped an appearance on), “Big Brother 10″ and how Tila Tequila reacted when Kristy broke her heart. We end with the Random Newsbits.

Jason is ready to set off some fireworks on this Holiday week and he talks about a very unique modeling show from across the pond. He updates you on the SAG strike deadline passing with nothing happening…yet. He talks up the failure of the Million Dollar Wheel of Fortune in Australia, but how it’s going to be tried here next fall. He ends the week with a cool story about how Drew Carey made a very long distance pizza delivery, and the Random Newsbits.

America’s Got Talent, right? The rest of the world has Jason, as he talks the potential SAG Strike and how America’s Got Talent has been using some semi-shady techniques to make you think you are seeing things, when they aren’t what you think they are. He updates you on Bianca Ryan, Piers Morgan, and how Simon Cowell is producing a movie about Paul Potts.
We then talk up American Idol Season 8 Audition Dates and how the “Next Food Network Star” is becoming too weepy. He has good news on the Match Game and Dating Game/ Newlywed Game Pilots, and bad news for fans of Crosswords.
We finish up with good business news for fall 2008, bad news for Ricki Lake, really bad news for a UK Big Brother contestant and the random newsbits.

Jason has been visiting both coats and has a lot to catch up on…so he talks about the end of an era as College Bowl ceases operations, and how GSN may cease two of its biggest poker shows. He then brings us an update on how Bob Barker wants to bring a city ordinance statewide, and how GSN(in a cat-astrophic move) wants to bring one lucky cat owner a million dollars through a Meow Mix Game Show.
We then go online as XBOX Live may be bring game shows to the XBOX 360, Fox may be bringing us a new game show called “Family Trust”, and the Next Food Network Star 4 selection committee makes a bad move.
He catches you up on more summer shows, including “Million Dollar Password” and “The Next Food Network Star 4″. He tells you who won ”Britain’s Got Talent”, and who may win the next reality show…because they studied a class on how to get on, and that Richard Hatch appeals his conviction.
We look into a different future with Deal or No Deal syndication taping news, Dating Game/Newlywed Game news, and what is premiering in the Fall 2008 Syndication Market. (Keep September 8th free, folks!)

He talks up budgetary problems for reality shows, and how Alex Trebek may have hinted at his exit strategy at a CBC Press Event. Jason lays out the big problems at the World Poker Tour and how a London based game show wants to bridge religious differences. He finishes the show noting the death of the creator of “It’s Academic” and the random newsbits.
